i think the 525 will beat the ds650 for the most part. if both bike are all the way tricked out i whould say i ds650 because ive herd there frames can handle a ton of hp. i whould not buy the irs model myself but i like the stright axle.

My friend has a nice new DS650 and I smoke him no problem drag racing. And mines is the IRS everyone seems to hate for some reason. And jumping is no comparison. The ds is so heavy it doesnt jump well. The 525 is as smooth as jumping a utility quad with a sport quads performance and handling. Its certainly the way to go. And it doesnt corner bad like everyone thinks. Ride one.

Those that say they do not like IRS, saying they are tippy and do not corner simply have not ridden a 525.

ok i think the outlaw525 might be the way to go then considering im only about 160 lbs and about 6'2.
the ds would probably be big for me to maneuver as well as the outlaw.
how does the outlaw do in the dunes?
b'cuz thats about the only place i ride

Excellent. I havent had it in big serious dunes. But I am taking it to Silver Lake on Sept 21. Its stable and has tons of power. Get some sand paddles. I got the dealer to throw some in with the quad. I have sand stars on all 4. It makes it pretty wide with standard offset rims. Its like 50+ wide. Might want to consider some inset rims. But i mostly drag race anyway so that extra stability will be nice. But it handles good everywhere you take it. Ive ridden it on a dirt bike MX track with 60ft doubles and 50 ft triples and kept right up with the dirt bike. It handles the big jumps so nicely and is ready for the next. Ive taken it on 5 hr trail rides and Im on everyones bumper even with 400ex's. It handles like a yfz450 in the woods. Way more nimble than you would think a quad of that size would be. Its a really good all around quad. My friend that has a DS650 is trading his in next month before the silver lake trip for a 525irs becuase he was so impressed with mine after riding it 1 time. Its a sweet quad. It is 1st year, so its not trouble free. But I enjoy maintanence and I probably over do it on the oil changes, but thats me. You buy high performance, expect high performance maintanence.

well that is great to hear because i havent rode it yet but have rode the ds and was verry impressed but if what your saying is all true than i will be even more than impressed with the 525. And i dont mind the maintence i like to keep everything i own in tip top shape it makes um alot easier to work on.
please let me know how it does at silver lake but hopefully i will have a 525 of my own by then!

The irs outlaws are fairly stable probably, but i think your predator will still be able to take turns with less body english.....

Its always that last 0.1second that agressive people want to slice off their laptimes.... a straightaxle will let you take turns just a little bit faster than the IRS so you will slice off that 0.1second without a problem
