does all atv's have a throttle stop on them? found one one mine it's on the bottom of the thumb button loosened a screw mashed it went about a 1/4 turn more.went riding today really helped alot. guess i've only had 3/4 throttle since i got it

 

A little confused, not sure what you mean, if you get a 1/4 turn more will you get quicker
acceleration, or easier on the hand, less tight, do you think it will work on sportsmans?

not sure about the sportsman found it this morning cleaning the mud off it gave me more throttle better everywhere little harder on the hand it turns farther. look under your thumb lever mine had a slide on it wouldn't let it go to the end. loosend screw mashed the throttle till it stopped tighten the screw back.

 

just remember that no matter how far you turn that stop out, if its already at full throttle open(meaning the butterfly in the carb is at max opening) it wont gain anything at all. most of the regual bikes i do beleave are already at this point when there new. its more for stopping the throttle opening, say if you have a child riding and you want to slow it right down.

 

i don't think it was opening all the way it runs better since i moved it it could be used to limit the throttle for kids not sure if i would let a kid a ride ride it by themselves 400L is kindof big and heavy for kids unless they have the skills
