Default Re-seating a tire

I had two side wall punctures in my ITP 27" XTR's and they could not be repaired. I bought a new tire and had it put on before my trip this weekend. Everything was fine through about the 200 mile mark where I rolled over something and heard a "poof" kind of sound and thought Ihad a blow out. The tire was still inflated and I couldn't see any type of puncture on it. As I continued to ride that day, the tire started to lose pressure and I had to stop several times to refill it with the air pump I carry with me. Last nite when I parked it, the tire was full. In the morning when I loaded her up, she was riding on the rim. I have looked this tire over top to bottom and cannot find a puncture in it. Did I perhaps break a seal and the tire needs to be resealed? I am out of any other ideas on this one. Help, please.

Could maybe make up a soap solution and spray it all over & look for bubbles. I got one of those bottles of kids blow bubbles stuff & keep it around.

Mud Hog, as upnort said, make a mixture of dish washing liquid and water. A teaspoon per quart of water is enough. Blow up the tire and check the rim by leaving the tire flat on the ground. Pour enough out to cover the bead area. If this doesn't show bubbles, check the outside and inside of the valve stem. When checking the outside move it around a little bit to see if any air comes out. Just a slight bend in the valve stem. A lot of times the valve stem gets damaged when the tire gets changed. The inside could need tightening. If you don't find anything in these areas slowly roll the tire and pour the soap mixture as you go. A very small nail can cause a very big problem. Hope this helps.

I appreciate the tips, guys, but I left the bike up in Hurley cuz I will be up there for a musky tournament in a couple of weeks. I called the shop up there and made an appointment to have them fix the tire, install the heated grips (I can't stand how skinny the new ones are) and thumbwarmers and give her an oil change. Hopefully my tire problem will be solved at this point.
