Default Help need help

I had just bought a 2005 sportsman 500 H.O and It was doing great no problems started every time. As soon as i was done riding i put it back into my truck and went to start it when i got home and nothin. there was no power when i would go to turn the key to the on position. My battery is fully charged there is just no power to start it with the key or to pull start it . no lights no speedometer readings nothing. i dont know if its just a bad ground which my grounds i checked were fine. Are there fuses or circuit breakers please any help would be extremely helpful

May be your E.C.M.
Also know as Power Dis. Module..........Made by Sure Power Ind.
It is located on the frame under your High-beam headlight........
This unit DOES contain Circuit Breakers and overload protection!!!!
There are re-calls on some models...............

Also note I had to change one of these in my 2006 Sportsman 450........This is a good place to start.......................But I can't really say for sure it's your trouble!!.......................Caper............. ...

I agree whole heartedly with the check the simple things first. Some of the kill switches on atv's are very finicky and hard to get exactly in the middle. That is where I would start. I also had a bike a few years back where the ingnition did not sit tightly in the cowling and would spin with the key when you tried to turn it on. This did not engage the starter and had the same effect you are describing. Check fuses, battery connections and give any wires you can see off the battery and running throughout the machine with a quick visual as well. Good luck.
