I am on my second 07 800 this year and both of them have clatter in the front end. I think I was told that it had to do with the ebs system and was nothing to worry about.

any noise your hearing isnt from the ebs. its the slap, black lash, or slop or anything else you want to go it in the transmission. if you take the bikes rear drive shaft w/ it sitting on a flat level spot w/ it off in neutral you can rock it back in forth and actually hear/see the slop in the black lash. the ebs shouldnt be making any noise. not sure what your trying to take out, but if its the cv shaft from the housing it just pops out w/ a good jerk.

Get a BIG dead blow hammer and smack the cv.There is a springed snap ring you have to get over.

No noises from the front end of my 800. I do have the usual amount of driveline lash/noise, though. I also have a moderate fast-paced knocking noise coming from the right side of the engine near the case, only when fully warmed up and only under 2,000 RPM. I'd be worried about it if it didn't do it since it was new, or if I had the only 800 that made this noise. I'm not the only one am I??
