Default How bad do I need ADC?

I've heard many say the std EBS sucks, and that ADC is the way to go. I'm getting a great deal on a 2007, but it is not a deluxe, therefore lacks ADC. My question is this...what value would you place on ADC? $100, $500, ?????. I can pick up a 2007 right now for $2K less then a 2008.

I just bought a brand new 07 700EFI without either EBS or ADC. I had an 05 700EFI with EBS and I hated it. It is very nice to be able to crest a hill, and just let off the throttle and coast down it. if it is a steep hill, apply just enough throttle to engage the primary clutch, and presto.....engine breaking. Just my $0.02.

ok i'll throw my .02 in as well. most people really dont mention the left out part of the ebs braking and that is the just stanard level ground big advantage or non ebs. on my 450 theres a huge use of the brakes where on the 800 and even my 02' 500 you didnt need the brakes 75% of the time to slow down or even stop if you timed it right. ebs is a great thing to have even when you have a hill where it does help slow you down and does take some getting use to. if you never had adc like my self until this bike you dont know what your missing so if money (deal) on the one your get is that much cheaper then get the 07'. dont think you want to add it later as the cost would be alot im told. on my bike the adc in l.range works incrediably good on the naste big hills but most of the time im sure i wont put on awd/adc to go down the hill as im used to the reg ebs winch works fine for most hills. just my opinion.

What is ADC worth really depends on the terrain in which you ride. I bought a 2007 500 deluxe just to get the ADC. I spend all my time riding in the Hells Canyon National Recreational Area which borders my small ranch and in the surrounding private land. This is some of the steepest country in Idaho and some of the downgrades will go half mile or so before a bench and then go again.
The ADC on those long steep grades is priceless. It has its drawbacks but once you learn to use it, you would not want to be without it.
The only thing it lacks is the ability to disengage and remain in 4 wheel drive. Just my opinion.

I have heard the 08's have that option. Wonder if one could upgrade the 07's

If you ride really steep long nasty rough terrain it's priceless if not don't waste the cash!
EBS is plenty for milder trails.

The AWD/ADC is switched to the left and right is 2wd. How do you turn ADC off without turning AWD off?

the switch that slide goes from 2wd to adw then to awd/adc. you can just slide it to the first postion which is regual awd w/out the adc.

I didn't realize it was a 3 position switch!
