Hawkeye Spark Plug
#1
Is anyone using the Autolite 4303 spark plug in your Hawkeye?
It's a direct cross over for the NGK CR8EB. I have been buying them at the local NAPA store for $2.19. They work real well, and helped get me through the rich jetting phase from the factory.

What I was trying to say was, I fouled a few spark plugs until the dealer rejetted the Hawkeye twice. The first time we took it to about 4500 feet elevation and my wife didn't get more than a few miles and that plug was toast. Borrowed another plug after lowering the needle and limped through the weekend. Rejetted the first time and still had some fouling. More plugs in the fouled plug pile. Rejetted a second time and the dealer also did the holes in the air box cover. (I know not any ones favorite cure) Now I can go anywhere we ride and be in tune. In the coarse of all of this I found these plugs , and started using them. Dealers around here want $6 to $8 for the NGK. So when you are in the tuning process I was in $2.19 per plug was a great find. Sorry for the long post, just trying to be helpful.

Also, this plug crosses over for the CR8EB for the Hawkeye and the CR8E which fits in my KLX400R or a DRZ400. The top or spark plug wire end screws on so it work in both machines. You can use it either way.
