Yep, we use our winches many times in an afternoon where we ride. We like trail 8 just south of Hurley. If you go to the far west end of it, there are a couple of great mud pits to try your luck at. We have spent an entire afternoon on numerous occassions digging the bikes out of the deep slop. You could never do it with out a winch. Those days in the pit you don't get a lot of miles in but it certainly is a good time. That's where the guys on the 500s show us guys on the big heavy bikes what muddin's all about.

No denying that Stendori, We threw so much slop with the two 800's and the 700 we had in the group that the big hole at the end was almost empty. It was also one heck of a lot deeper too. We may get stuck but we look great doin' it.

In the new 08 Polaris ATV accessory catalog it says the new winches are "designed and tested" by Polaris. Also note- they offer a new 3500lb winch for the sportsmans, with a lower gear ratio and Amsteel synthetic rope standard.
