i dont belave it but i could be wrong. i read some where(crappy memory) that they stopped using warn(most likey a price issue) and went to this co. which has no name and we all know polaris doesnt make there own winches. most of the warns say warn made for polaris right on them.

I won't be up by my stealth until next Wednesday evening and will have to take a look. I had a venom 3500lb on an old bike of mine and I have to say that it was bang for the buck. Maybe Popo decided that the lower $ winches were what they needed to make a buck. My venom was a great winch and never let me down.

polarisindustries.com calls it a 2500lb polaris winch. If it was a warn, I think they would be singing it loud and proud.

We have buried the venom in some serious mud and it keeps on pulling. Doesn't look as nice as the warn but hey, it's 2007 and I think the technology is there.

Yes .....I still have my wife's 2500 lbs. in the box in my garage.............got with 450 Sp in June 2006................It does have WARN/Polaris on the outside of the box!!!!!!!!.....

I did here they went to a aftermarket winch for the 2007 models..................

Maybe your dealer still had some 2006 Warn/Polaris winches left-over that you got for your 2007 800 Deluxe!!!

Otherwise it is not a WARN....................Caper.............

I'm guessin' you're right, Caper. I will eyeball it next time I am up there. I just bought the Grizz 700 SE which I pick up next Thursday and that comes with a winch as well. That will require a look too.

I just bought the new Warn RT-30 for my '07 700EFI. It's rated at 3000 lbs. It is quieter and faster than the Warn/Polaris 2.5 2500lb winch that came from the factory on my '05 700EFI. Installation was simpe thanks to the wheeler being factory pre-wired for the winch. The winch was a little pricey at just over $400, but in my opinion, well worth it. I,m sure if I had taken more time to shop around, I could have found a cheaper price. I was stuck in mud as deep as the tires, and I stood up on the shoulder with the winch remote, and without the aid of the tires spinning (wheeler was in neutral) the RT-30 yanked the 700 out of the mud with no probem. It was as if it was just spooling in loose cabe. You gotta love that!
