Default Hawkeye ATV Track kits.

Anyone owning an 06/07 Hawkeye or thinking of purchasing a 08 Sportsman 300HO or 400HO and that think they may be interested in a "Tatou" track kit should contact Camoplast and let them know the may be interested in this item. They have a proven kit available but have not built the brackets yet. Some interest may speed up the developement. They are the only ones with a kit for the Polaris with small engines. 300 and 400CC's. They are at marketing@camoplast.com. My interest is getting this kit for my machine.

i would think it would be pretty hard on these hawkeyes w/ no lowrangw w/ all the extra weight and restinance to turn them if you go in the mud w/ them i think it would smoke a belt but would be nice if they worked out.

All the concerns you listed are valid, but these guys are the ones that first developed the tracks years ago. The first machine was a 300 cc honda and A. Cat. The original kit was snow only but the new one handles mud and stuff. I'll keep the forum posted as I hope to have the first kit. Right now, it would be great if members would email the address that I posted and ask about the availability for the kit for the new Sportsman or old Hawkeye.

Regarding smoking a belt, I have been advised that because the gear reduction in the track (45%), that the drive keeps the ratio low enough to prevent this. Part of the reality also is that the power available from the Hawkeye just isn't enough to damage it.
