Default Simple Maintenance

I was hoping for a little advice regarding simple maintenance up keep on my '05 Sportsman 400. Last time riding (sometime in May) I was fortunate enough to find some muddy creek beds and do some serious mudding. I cleaned it to my best ability (Spent $10 at the car wash) and its been sitting sense. The other day I wheeled it out (the battery was dead) and noticed some "metal on metal" rubbing sound. What type of lubricating should I do on a normal basis to ensure that nothing is corroding in the Front End, Rear, etc... The sound was coming somewhere in the right front tire. My ATV now has 17 hrs on it so it does not get a lot a use. In fact, it sits so long that is why I worry about it having corroding problems.

Much Appreciated..

Could just be a rust spot from sitting. Spray some brake cleaner on the disc or drive it 100 ft with the brakes lightly on. If it is a rust spot, you should see some improvement.
