I need some serious help. I have a 2003 600 Twin Sportsman and where the Brake line flare nut goes into the rear caliper( this is the line to the hand brake nto the foot), brake fluid is leaking out. I am not sure if it is coming from the thread side or the inside where the line runs thorough, but I am seeing fluid pooling on the inside of my rim under the flare nut. I removed the flare nut, looked at it, it seemed OK, so i cleaned it up a bit and put it back together. It appeared to work well for a few days and again today it can see the fluid leaking from the area of the flare nut again. Anyone ever have this happen??? Ideas?? Suggestions???
you said you checked the nut, did you make sure the flare it self wasnt cracked? that would it quick as anything else. also make sure the line isnt cracked. did the line get hit w/ something to move it or loosen up?
