no, that was just out of the crate that way. i didnt even check them as they had 0 miles on them before this ride. i usually stay around 5 psi and around 7 psi when im on hard pack as its easier on fuel and handles good as well. just my .02 for my self.

I see that Carslie (Our stock tire Mfg.) has come out with their new tire to compete against the
ITP's Mudlites. When you look at it the lugs look almost exactly the same. This Carslie
design though has these little bites around the side wall, so I don't know how much, if any
would make it a better tire from the exterior? And also the price?
I would think its also what is inside, it claims it is a 6 ply yadda yadda. Looks pretty good!

Yea, I would like to get some good reports on these all around good tires
Vs. MUD tires on how they do on our big bores. It would so seem that with
the X or bow tie type tread steering/handling would be easier. But some thoughts
are sliding and oversteering and with less bite maybe more unsafe.
Is anyone running these tires or Holeshots or something like that?

Okay, today's math lesson is brought to us by the good folks of Massachusetts. The speedometer on any vehicles bases its speed reading on the distance the tire travels on one revolution of the stock tires. The circumference of the tire is the distance it travels in one rotation. Circumference is 2 x Pi x radius or Pi x the diameter. A 25" tire travels about 78.5 inches in one turn. A 27" about 84.75" inches in one turn. So a 25" tire travels about 6' 6" and a 27" about 7' 1". Cool. If you don't want to change your speedo to find out how fast you're going you can go the GPS route or just factor in the extra distance your quad goes per revolution. It can be found by dividing the larger tire size by the smaller tire size or the distances they travel. In this case 27 divided by 25 gives a .08 increase in distance traveled per revolution or a 8% increase. So, if you go to multiply the speed your speedometer says by the increase you get actual speed. So, Stendori was actually going about 68 mph when his speedo said 63. Very COOL. Just watch out for speed traps. Just having fun. Math is my second language.
