I'm a carpenter that hurt his back in 2005. I can do a couple hours every week so I'm not able to really do my regular work. Waiting for doctors to come up with something to fix the problem. In the meantime, I homeschool my kids and have had to relearn Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc. It's been educational for me also.

Man, what an inspiring story Moose! Glad to hear it, never to late
to re-educate (what a min. that rhymes, lol) Well I hope your back
gets back in shape (no pun) and thanks for the Math lesson buddy,
I sure learned a thing or two. Now I will call up my cuz and put on
how I can use this math equation, LOL. To coin his phrase, "I must be
a Freakin Genius!" - eheh, LOL

we havent raced side by side w/ this 08' yet. we had them going down the rd once around 65 mph. on take off he'll get me good as the brutes are quicker for sure. but i pass him on top end w/ the 06'. however he's running 26" mud tires and i was running 27" xtr's. i would like to get a few more miles on it and hold it open to see what it'll do. maybe next year lol

Stendori, you should actually be able to go faster with the larger tires as the RPMs are what are limited by the manufacturers. It will take more time to get there, but the bigger tire is covering more ground per revolution, so the top speed should be greater. Rate=distance/time. The more distance you travel per revolution the higher the speed. I really need to get to Four Wheelers Anonymous.... PS that 08 looks great, Stendori.

"Sensai Sten", that is funny! Must admit he's given more than his share of advice and know-how. I would trade up at some point if we had the free cash but we don't, so it's an easy decision. My son wants an Outlaw 525 really badly, but will also have to wait. I DO like the gas mileage and the big gas tank on my quad. It will go over a 100 miles on a tank as long as I am not rock crawling, or mudding all day. I've found the power to be more than enough for our needs. What I'd really like to see is a Sportsman 6x6 with the X2 transforming seat/bed and independent suspension in the rear. It would be almost unstoppable and provide a good size bed for work and passenger abilities at the same time. I just don't know if Polaris makes enough money selling them to really warrant an update. Oh, yeah! And while they are at it make it an EFI also.
