That is a perfect looking quad. I'll have to show that to some of my buddies. I have a question, doesn't the modifications you've made, the lift kit, big tires, ect. take a lot of power away from you? I always thought you would need to get a quad ported and stuff to give it more power to enable it to turn the big tires.

greg

it looks like your tires stick out farther out of the fenders compaired to stock. is that because of the rims or did u use wheel spacers??

also have u though about putting on the extended fenders so that u stay cleaner when u ride??

looks like the wife would have some muddy loads of laundry when u come back from FWP.

later

I think the 26" outlaws 10" wide are about 95 bucks or so, try looking at the Highlifter website www.highlifter.com/

The bike is basically stock... no spacers, and I am using regular ITP wheels. I am considering the extended my flaps; however, it really doesn't throw up that much mud. I am not one to get in the mud and spin the tires 40 MPH. That just digs you in further, and helps to breaks things. I lug the bike through the holes. I find this usually works better.

Hey Greg,

A little off topic, but I thought it was funny when you said handwarmers help the ride on those bitterly cold rides! Can't imagine how bitterly cold it must get in Texas! Even though I heard you guys had some bad weather past little while.

We had about 6 inches of snow in about 1 hour one late spring day. Just a freak snow storm. I had on a MX Gloves, a sweater, a wind breaker and a pair of jeans. That is the definition of Bitterly cold. It dropped to -16 C, then you add wind chill and the fact of being caked in wet snow! Brrrr.

The last ride at FWP was cold for me. We were riding until 2:00AM and it was in the teens to low twentys, and we were breaking ice going through water waste deep for hours. I was actually comfortable but I know some others that were not.

For Example, Honda380 was a little chilly when he went through water over his chestwaders. Have you seen those pis on Texmudders site. All you can see is his head and the snorkel on his Honda.

Hey Greg,

Could you let me in on your secret for the aluminum wheel cleaner? I know you might have posted it on Highlifter, but I remember a couple of posts about cleaners that you had used, one being caustic (on Taz's differentials) and the other non-caustic.

Thanks in advance!
