shouldnt be too hard but might want to think about using a relay if you want to run them on the stock switch on the handle bars that way it wont burn the switch up from pulling to much juice.

aaagh good questions, does anyone know what the 07 800 sportsman x2 with dump alternator puts out for amperage? Be nice to have more lights along with the thumb and handlegrip warmers that i am going to install, but the shop where i bought it was not quite sure of amperage.

geez, only 500 watts!!, if memory serves me right thats only 5 amps therabouts, not much for lighting and many accessories. hmmm, do you know what they are at idle and full for amps or watt?
I was hoping for around the 20 to 30 amp area....

500 is max i beleave but not sure @ idle what it would be. maybe around 200 plus. thats why some have problems w/ their battery when using it to plow because the alt. wont keep up w/ the drain thats put on it as the alt. isnt designed to charge as it is to maintain the battery.

Hey GoDawgs,

Where can ya find those lights and how much do
they run, if ya don't mind me asking?

Also, can we put a bigger WATT bulb in our
headlights? Whether the POD light or front
sides lights?

Thanks in advance!
