2007 POLARIS 800 X2 BACK SEAT FALLING DOWN
This machine has 5hrs on it and several issues already.
I love the machine but my local dealers are backed up right now.
If i raddle the back seat it will fall down out of the locking postion...which in fact hurt my g/f's back yesterday going over a dugout..
No back support back there is no good.
Here's a video.

Hey 2Blue, I had the same problem, but only after about 600 miles. There is a latch that holds up the back seat backrest when you have the seat in any position but the very lowest. It uses the same latching mechanism that the tailgate uses to close. It is a post into a cam latch. To get at it you have to take the latch off from underneath the pickup bed. I actually bought a replacement. Not cheap. I think it was about $60. I took the old one and soaked it in WD40 and it works now. Took a bit of latching and unlatching with oil soaking it to get it to work. I'll keep it as a spare for if it happens again. Judging by the design, it probably would.

I just saw the video. I apologize. I thought you were talking about it falling forward when riding. That's the problem I had. You might take off the plastic on the back of the seat backrest to see if anything is caught in there. I think it is about 4-6 torx screws that hold it on.
