I bought my daughter a 2001 Scrambler 90 today. After riding for a short time she complained about the stiff thumb throttle. It's definately stiffer than my Sportsman. Anyone else experience this or know of a fix? Also, it kept quitting on her when she was at low speed and going on and off the throttle. I don't have a manual for it yet. I adjusted what I assume is the idle, and it still died on her every now and then. I haven't looked close yet, but does anyone know if there is also a mixture screw? The bike has great power and the suspension is much better than her old Yamaha, but after today, in her eyes the Yamaha didn't die and the throttle was easy. Any comments, or known problems and fixes would greatly be appreciated. I guess tomorrow I will go ahead start tuning on this thing like I've always done with my other 2 strokes.

you can buy an extension for throttle. we also had to drill a hole in fuel cap and install vent hose like on cycles.we also added to the air cleaner snorkle to make it longer to keep out water. to low.be sure to use at least 1" hose or it won't run right.
this machine is made by alpha motorsports and their version seems to be a little bit better. i think they saved a littli bit for their own brand name.
