conclusion that these damn 3 ply tires arent that great to holding to punchures. you guessed it just went for a 30 miles ride and on the way back hit a sharp something and put a 3/8" + slice in the thead put of the tire where theres no lug. pretty good since they still have the little rubber knobbs still on them. dont know if im going to put it off the rim and have it vulcanized or just try to plug it w/ a couple of plugs. they really need to be 6 ply and they would be a great tire. i think im just going to try a couple plugs as i really dont want to dismount it.

Carlisle sells these tires in six ply but the stock ones are 3 ply. Check the carlisle website. Wish polaris used the 6 ply stock...cause they are sweet tires

They have decent tread and give a plush ride, but can't compare with a 6-ply for sharp edged stuff. I just hope the ones on my 500 last longer than 30 miles.

I had the same slit in some GNCCs (rear) on my old sport quad. The dealer took the tire off and put a shoulder plug in it. Held for about a month.
I thought Carlisle told me the PXTs were 4 ply.... I could be wrong. Sure hope mine last longer, but I won't count on it anymore.
