Default 1994 400L

I recently bought a 94 400L 4X4. I was offered a great deal on it, and had to choose quickly. It seems to run and drive fine, but I didn't have a chance to research it any before I bought it.

So..... Can anyone tell me the good and or bad on these things? Anything I need to keep an eye on?

Also, I'd like to put a few accessories on it, but I'm having trouble deciphering polaris wording on their website. They talk about gen 2, gen 3, etc without listing a specific year and model number.

I'm looking to add a winch, camo the plastic, and possibly put the snow plow package on it.

Any help or information that you experienced Polaris people could give to this rookie would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance

check your chains you have 3 of them, check the axle bearings ,swing arm bushings , change the counter balance oil and other fluids, change all the filters..fuel and air, get a manual it will make your mantinance easier.

these are great machines if they were taken care of i have on similar i didnt check alot of things when i bought it and i pretty much have rebuilt most of the quad . they have tons of power.

right now im in the process of putting on a winch and plow couldnt find the right winch mount for a 96 sp 400 tried the gen 2 didnt work just ordered the right one from cabelas we will see if it works, im putting on a venom winch im just using it to lift the plow no need to spend what they wanted for warn.
