like i said using low going @ a slow speed under say 7 mph +- is so it will turn the rpms up enough to effectively cool the belt. if your going to pull something heavy or go thru hard terrain(going slow) you also should use it. the down side is that it uses alot more gas being in low as the engine is turning up more. this will be in the owerns manual for sure.
