I just picked up an 08 800 (Red) on the weekend. The quad is awesome. One thing that I was a little disappointed in is no rear work lights, or no switch anyhow. My 05 700 has a switch on the pod, the new quad does not. The owners manual shows it as "if equiped". Is this an option now or do none of the 08's have them? The rear lights look the same as my 05. Is it just the bulb that's missing?

 

If it's the same as the 07s you'll need 2 3156 bulbs and a switch. The wires shold be under the pod for the switch and the sockets should be in the taillight assemblys already. That's assuming the 08s are the same as the 08s

 

everything is already there on the 800's. none of the new ones comes w/ the work lights on the reg 800. just take your pod apart and turn it over and you'll see the cut out slots already there. you just need to buy a switch and cut it out.

 

Thanks guys. Do you order a switch from polaris from a previous model year or just buy one from an auto parts store.

 

i bought one from a auto parts store. the only thing is its not water proof like the polaris($16.00) switch. its also only like $3.00.
