Cabelas Plow
#1
Does anyone have experience with the plows sold by Cabelas? Are they a Cycle Country, moose, ect, or are they actually a Cabelas brand plow. They seem to be priced right. Thanks for any replies. Here is a link to the plows. http://www.cabelas.com/texis/scripts...8AhAFAH/XA945B

The Cabelas plows are made by CMP. I don't own a Cabelas plow,(I own a CMP), but the Cabelas store in Dundee, MI has several on display and they are all CMP plows. Cabelas does not even attempt to put their name on them. The CMP plow are a good quality product. I ordered mine from shadetree last year and have been pretty impressed with it so far (two seasons). I have never put it up against a Moose or Cycle country plow to compare construction, but it seems pretty solid to me. Hope this helps.

That is funny that the Dundee store didn't have any plows in stock. When I was up there before Christmas, they had several on display on the floor. I guess this is not the time of year to be plow shopping after all of the snow we have been getting. We were up there trying to buy a muzzleloader for my buddy. Not a good idea to buy a muzzleloader during Michigan primative weapons season and just before Ohio's season. They only had 4 or 5 left to sell. The one guy in there said they sold over 250 in one day. If you are interested in the same plow that Cabelas carries, call Shadetree at 1-888-Shadetree. They are in Ohio and can generally have stuff to you in 1-2 days.

Im pretty sure the moose plow and the CMP plow are the same. When I opened my moose plow it had a paper with a phone number to call if you need help. Actually I was missing parts so I called the number..."Welcome to Cambridge metals and plastics...". So it would apear that at least part of the system was CMP.
After looking at the catalogs a lot of the "moose utility" products look like CMP products...humm.
