as long as he didnt try to force it to move by reving the h.ll out of it it wouldt have burned the belt so should be all set. once again keep an eye on the oil. looks like water went in thru the exhaust. you got lucky all the way around.

Update:

Im on my second oil change and the oil looks good.

Like i said cleaning all the ice out of the belt area the machine moves no problem.

Transmission im going to do today.

I want to use a cheap oil just to flush the tranny..Which tranny fluid is good for our quads...what do i need to look for. Then after flushing it ill stick in polaris oil.

Also im on the laptop right now looking at my quad...how the hell do you get the tranny fluid in the tranny? Turkey baster or something?

One more question:

I have that active decent control...does that need fluid or changed? I dont even know where it is...LOL

open your front storage and take off the rad. cover area and you'll see it there. did you even check the tran fluid to see if water got in? i see from looking in my book that you have to take the foot well off to get to it so maybe its fine. not sure w/out looking on my bike if you could use a squeeze bolt and squirt it in thru the filler hole or not but you could use a long hose or like a baster if thats what you have. it takes 15 ozs.
pn# for trans fluid is 2873602 qt. can. looking at your pics. again your adc fluid was never under the water by looks so you might be alright there anyways. its not just hyd. fluid i dont beleave but not sure, pn# 2876144

I havent checked the tranny yet.

Im going to within the hour.

There's not much room on this quad for the tranny oil change so i took off the foot well and that opened up alittle bit.

15oz..is what the tranny takes...now if i can just remember what that is in litres...

It's bloody pricey!!!!! I think around $15. It gets pricey quick when flushing a trans with water in it.
