Horrible trip at crowsnest pass got stuck friends never showed up ..ended up spending the night with no gear blowing winds and snowing on and off...I ended up falling into this creek getting soaked and walking the next day 11miles just to find out my vehicle was another 24 miles up the road. This guy drove all the way in the bush and towed me out and put the quad in the back of his truck and hauled atv back to my vehicle. Thanks guy!!!

The quad is out of the mud hole but it has water in the engine.

When i put it in gear the machine does NOT move.

I was below my airbox as you can see in the pictures..so thats why it still runs but yet there's water in everything.

Could someone let me know step by step what i all need to do?

Thanks.

all i can say is wow thats not a good day and sorry to hear about that, how come the winch couldnt pull you out?? you'll have to drain everything and shouldnt even try to run it w/ water in the engine for sure. if theres water in the tranny or in the belt housing iuts most likely froze by the looks. if you have acces to a heated garage i would leav in there for a few days while you drain the fluids and replace them. maybe take a couple of times for the engine for sure. also maybe take the clutch cover off to see it needs cleaning or smoked the belt trying to move it. let us know how you make out. this is why i would go riding in any bad places by myself this time of year for sure.

OUCH!...........and that's why I never buy a USED quad folks! Here you have it!

Seriously, I am glad that you didn't die overnight in the freezing cold. Where were those friends of yours to help out?!

First of all I'm glad to hear your ok, that being said....

Always remember......never ride alone, I'm glad everything turned out ok but it could have easily been a very bad tragedy.

Some of you guys will say it's Blasphemy but.....You can always go riding another day

mtpockets" quad is brand new

Ya my friends never showed up dammit.

My oil has alittle water in is i changed it.

I pulled my belt cover off and it was a block of ice so now thats all gutted and cleaned out. The belt looks good!

Tranny fluid i havent checked yet. Is there a way for water to enter the tranny? or diffs?

Thanks guys

of course thru the dip stick on the tranny and the vent lines on the rear end. but chances are the front and rear end might be fine but check the tranny. keep an eye on the oil as well as it might need to be changed again if it mikely color at all. i figured the c. cover was full of ice lol. the fluids will be milky or or over full. good luck w/ it.

Did you try to start the engine yet, with the new oil in it, How does it run, or maybe you didn't get that far yet!!!
When mt pockets talked about NOT buying a used quad...........He was talking about not knowing what your buying(sunk).............Not that your was second-hand!!!.......It's a 2007 .....we know that so people don't really know what a quad went through in a very short time being owned!!!............Caper.........

Good luck ...Keep us posted....
