Any problems with the 800 or 500 EFI's that anyone has experienced. I liked the ride and all but have had problems with the previous models I have owned.

 

My 07 has 1400 miles and 130 hours with no problems

 

My 800 EFI was in the shop 3 times with only 30hrs. Belt snapped, fule pump stopped working and engine lost power? That is why I now riding a 2008 Brute Force 750i.

the ones i was looking at was 2008's and the dealer said no problems. But with my experience with polaris i didn't figure there was any (problems) with polaris.
that was funny when he told me that. I have never had a polaris not have problems in the 3 my parents and I have owned.

 

Well believe what you want, I've been riding Polaris Atvs for 5 years and I've never had a problem that made me want to switch brands. You've got to remember they ALL have problems. It doesn't matter what brand, be it PoPo, Honda, Yammy, Ford, Chev, or Dodge, they all have problems. You'll get the odd one that was built in the middle of the week and will last forever, but eventually it too will have a problem or two.

My advice for you is to test drive all the differant bikes you are interested in and make your own decisions. Don't forget about the dealers as well. A bad dealer can make a good bike seem bad if their customer service is bad. Make your own decisions and then you only have yourself to blame if it's a bad choice

 

If you've had those problems with Polaris, why are you looking at them??

 

The reason I am even looking at them is the signifcant other likes the color and ride. Now with the 2 year warrnty, i would actuly consider. If it wasn't for the 2 yr ext. Polaris would be the farthest thing from my mind.

 

No problems with either my 500 H.O. or my new 800.
