Polaris Headlight Bulbs
#1
I own an 03 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO and would like to know if there are bulbs I can purchase that are brighter then the stock ones I have on. My present bulbs are not very bright for night driving. Will my stator handle brighter bulbs or does it even matter? I don't use my pod light cause of a front trunk that blocks the view so my headlights are my main lights. I checked ebay already but without knowing someone who actually uses them, I would like to know more about it.

Polaris is now selling xenon bulb kits. google motosports, inc, go to the catalogs page and you will find them I believe they are 26.99 for 2 bulbs. Hope this helps. got sportsman page than click maintenance.

I believe the H6 bulb is only for the older style. I know that a H6 WILL NOT WORK on my 07. It's a differant style of bulb more like a foglight bulb. I think my high and low bulbs will interchange but I can't remember but they are a differant wattage. If someone has found a part number for the newer bikes PLEASE let me know. Sorry I was looking for an aftermarket part number. The Polaris number is NFG when I go to the parts store.
