Default Sportsman 500 ? Starter

I have a Sportsman 500 that is having intermittent starting problems. The machine will start for several days and then there is only a click coming from the selonoid switch. Baterry is at full power, all electrical wiriing seems to be connected secure, the machine will start manually.Could there be a flat spot on the starter? Please
respond if you have seem this problem before.

How much of a job is that?
Did this happen to you?
I'm having a similar thing going on as big daddy and was ready to take a new battery back.

Thanks for the information. I guess this is a job for the dealer.

It's not a horrible job. Theres only two bolts to take off, but the one isn't very nice to get at. When I took mine apart for the same thing, the brushes were burnt to the point where they weren't touching the armature anymore lol If you don't feel comfortable rebuilding the starter, get it off and take it in to someone to rebuild. That'll save you some money
