RickCJ7, is the list price for both sets or for one. How do they compare to the springs from say EPI or others. My 700 sags pretty good with the loaded front box, brush guard, winch and my fat **** on it!</end quote></div>

gould62 this is for 2 front springs or 1 pair! These are 1/2 the cost of EPI. They are not a progressive spring and therefore not as soft in the 1st few inches of travel. But they will lift your sagging machine to where it should be and handle a heavy front end.

I think the stock 800 springs are a good compromise between the stock 500 springs and the EPI hd springs. My 500 had A LOT of front end sag with the stock springs, and when the snow plow was raised, the front end seemed to be all the way compressed. The EPI hd springs stiffened the front end A LOT, and there is very little sag now. Now when snowplowing, the front end had handle the plow lift with great ease.

I plowed with the 800 the other day with stock springs, and found that they only had about half the sag of the 500 springs. I'll probably leave it stock, but might put the t-m-2 adjusters in.....haven't quite decided yet.

HERE is a link to my snowplow page that shows how well the EPI hd springs work.

thought i would give ya another update - went for a longer ride with the new springs. I really like the way it handles now, feels like a differnt quad. You can approach the large bumps without having to slow down and not hit them and feel like you going into it instead of over it. Another thing i really like is when you are on and off the gas hard isnt doesnt throw you back and forth meaning it doesnt squat when you take off and doesnt dive when you hit the brakes hard. Really makes a differnce when braking and truning at the same time. It also seems to power slide alot better now.
Caper - I know you dont like mods but this really does improve the handling wish you lived around me so you could try it out!!!

later guys thanks for reading

SheepDog,

Did u go with the tm2 adjusters? Those look like decent alternative but haven't heard too many talk about them. Was curious of your opinion.

I have a SP 06 700 EFI, brushguard, just got the Glacier 2, Rzr 60 inch and am looking to get some of the sag out. Not sure if i should go with tm2, epi hd, or polaris hd. Currently like the ride, wouldn't mind a tad stiffer, but don't want a totally diff. feel.

Also, where can u get the EPI HD springs, cant find them on the web.

I've been plowing with the stock springs on the 800 and it seems to do fine, so I'll probably just leave it the way it is. You can get the EPI springs directly from EPI at THIS site.

i used spacers for my sag and it worked well to take the sag out. if you have alot of extra weight on the front end it will sag eventually.

Installed a set of 2003 700 springs and struts on my 2000 500 and it helped TONS! My front was really bad, the front end would sag and dive all the time, now it is like I have a new perky set . . . :-O

Steve,

i tried to install a new set of HD springs on my sportsman 700. .. what a major PITA!! i must be doing something wrong! I couldnt even get the strut to come down low enough to remove from the housing, after removing the top nut. I also couldnt see how to actually replace them, even if I did get them off. ?? any advise would really be helpful. do i need to compress them and unscrew another housing bolt to detach from the shock housing? thanks in advance...

You have to compress the spring with two straps or a spring compresser or you will not be able to get them free of the tower. Pull the top nut and then disassemble the tower and pull the strutt out of the tower and the spring pulls strait off. Reassemble and go :-)
