I don't know why but my sc400 4x4 has no low end guts anymore. I put bigger tires on the back and thought that might have been the problem because of the power loss but I put my smaller ones back on and it still doesn't perform the way it used to. Does anyone have some ideas of what might be wrong? I don't think it's the airfilter or sparkplug but I don't know what else it could be. I should mention that it has a DG pipe and silencer.

start with a primary spring change(orange or green)when you put the pipe on it was probally designed for high rpm and you lost back pressure
so you gotta ajust for a higher rpm engagement.jetting will help too, change you main 1 or 2 sizes bigger and you might have to ajust the needle clip position.good luck

how old is your quad?I would perform air filter, fluids spark plug maintenance on it,and while ya got that spark plug out do a compression test on it,I believe it shouldnt be any lower than 100-125 or ya might need to rebuild your top end, thats pistons and rings and decarbonize the head too while its apart.Get a manual or if your not savy have the shop do it.When ya make mods on the pvt tranny the spring on the clutch kit needs to be changed allowing for proper engagement. hope this helps
