What do I think of the Sportsman - LOL - I know it doesn't float. The sport itself is going to cost me a pretty penny. Today was my first time out on trails with it. The only other riding I had with it was around the yard. However I must say, it has ALOT of power. I got in a good 2 hrs of riding prior to my Swim. made it up some steep hills and other types of terrain. I can't wait to get back on it. Next time, I am going to pack a live preserver. Hope it doesn't cost me too much $$$$ to get if fixed.

I'm not to talented in the automotive dept. It won't start. I clicks. I know that everyone is saying to drain the oil/gas - but like I said - not to talented in the area. I'm hoping they will cut me a brake since I just purchased it last Monday and picked it up last Thursday.

I can understand your position, if you want to save a few
bucks though you can try just draining your fluids first and is pretty easy, should
at least give that a whirl along with the spark plug thing and all the other checksums
hoytultratec referenced.
Just trying to encourage you, you will find this forum to have the best weekend
mechanics to help you. I have performed basic maintenance myself so far and
took on the challenge of replacing out my damaged radiator on my 450 which
discovered was pretty easy. I find the $49 repair book along with the user
manual a great resource. You can even download them for free, do a search
on here and you will find it.
And more importantly believe in yourself you can do all of that and I found
for me its FUN!
Cheers,

When you refer to your "Plumpness" in a positive way, reminds me of my own experiences. But remember, fat guys float, quads don't.

pick yourself up a good manual most of the mantinence things are pretty easy to do yourself and you will save alot of money down the road no sense and giving all that money to dealer the machines cost enough.

My Brother (former car mechanic) just took a look at the machine. He thinks that it is hydrolocked. We couldn't get to the plugs to remove. He checked the oil and he said it didn't have water. I don't know how that is possible, being in the water for so long. Im going to have to get a good manual due to the fact that mine didn't weather the "plunge". And I have to say - I have to agree, Most Fat Guys float, but I have to tell you that water was Freaking COLD and I was soaked from head to toe. Thanks for the encouragement. I will keep you posted.

Just a word of caution. If you think there MAY be water in the oil, change it. Your mechanic will not have to pay the repair bill if water is present and you damage the engine. Its cheap insurance.
