Default Need Help Quick

My husband just purchased a 2007 Sportsman 700 and is out riding for the first time this morning. I just got a call that he rolled it in water and the machine is dead. Is there anyone here with any experience with this so I can help them.

Thank you.

Hopefully,

He has the means of pulling himself out? A winch, another buddy who can winch him or pull
him out? Yea, I am no expert here, but on some of those older posts w/r to cycling water
out of the engine and its parts, some have used kerosene with very high successes.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Now that both myself and the machine are out of the water and I back to normal body temp I have drained all the water. At least now the machine clicks when I turn the key. Back to the dealer tomorrow for service.

Just curious Qtip howd'ya roll it? I rolled my 450 on my hunting property last year. I was riding
around a tree cut area of 45 acre farm and it was quite flooded out with lots of little
water/mud holes from long rains in this wetland area. I figured I was okay cause of all the tree
roots underneath and such. As I started thru this water hole, my 450 went sideways, before I
knew it me and my friends son (13yrs old) on the back rolled gracefully into a hip high water
hole. WOW, I couldn't believe it, my cuz drew my attention to the high uprooted tree mixed in with
the heavy brush. I learned alot that day, we had fun though, no one hurt, Quad was okay, not
really fully immersed in the water.

Well, Like my wife said, I purchased the machine this past week so I'm an inexpierence rider. We were going through trails that has some water holes, I went through the first one fine, but my feet got wet. My buddy told me to keep my feet up on the front rack, and I'm not the smallest guy in town. But I gave it a try and next thing I know, I was laying in about 3 feet of water and the machine was on it's side. Took me about 5-10 minutes to finally get it out. Then he had to tow me back about 3 mile to the truck. I blame my buddy, never tell a fat guy to raise his feet, doesn't he know that this is my center of gravitiy. Live and learn.....
