I sure hope they made the frame stronger than the Hawkeye frame was!!..Same midside frame.......
One thing I can tell you.......It has the same motor as my two Sp 450's and I am very happy with the power, and mine are the heavey full size frame!!!
you should be happy with this motor in the lighter frame!!..Good luck, Have fun!!,...Caper.....

I don't think all 2006 were recalled , my buddy at work had one for his wife and told me his VIN was not included on the list, also Polaris went by the Manufacter dates also!!......His issues was mostly with the engine/air box.........Poor running most of the time!!!
that was the 300 engine........You will be fine for the 450 as long as they fixed the ECM trouble(not all)...........................I am on my third one on my quad ...But the funny thing is my wife's still has the same one from the factory in hers!!!.....I can't seem to understand that one!!!!......Caper.........

yes i know, bigger motor in the same 300 chasis. that motor/torque will definitely put that chasis through its paces. it's gotta be ok'd through polaris for them to have installed it on that chasis after all the problems that chasis has gone through. will that not be amazing to have chasis problems again? gee that'll be throwing in the towel if so for polaris. thats why i went for the 400 and not the 300. just cant imagine that the 400 has not been thoroughly tested by polaris on the 300 chasis for this issue to devastate the company.
