Trail Boss 330 help
I have a 03 trail boss 330 and I would like to set the idle mixture.
First, On the wiring diagram I see that the rev limiter receives an rpm signal from the charging coils. What type of tach can I connect to This. I have a traditional automotive diagnositc tach with the 4,6,8, signal choices. Can I set it to 4, do some math and get the rpm or do I need a different tach for this signal?
Second, I have removed the plug covering the pilot screw. Getting to the pilot screw to adjust is another story. I've sort of come up with a way, but I'm hoping that someone with experience on these has a good way to approch this and can share their ideas.
Thanks
Bill

The plug will need drilled out to get to the idle mixture screw. It's not fun to get to either. No room. I bought a special tool from Motion Pro to be able to adjust them. It wasn't cheap either, but it does work WELL.
As far as your tach, I don't know if it will work or not. Try it, see what it says. I have a Mac timing light/tach I use for RPMs.
