Man, that sux! Yea, I had the opposite problem, getting the dang'gon mount plate
installed when I removed my center piece that holds my front end and ya couldn't
of guessed it, it dropped. We couldn't harnest it back up and it covered the mount
holes making it impossible to install. So we had to take off the front end then
replace the center front piece one hole at a time to hold the front end, tricky!

Has anyone else exp the same? Bottom line, WE DID it, but I have to re-do it again
to put it on my new 800, don't look forward to that assembly project!

Wow, you might have had more trouble than I did. My dealer ordered the Glacier I mount for me and will call when it comes in. We only got a dusting of snow, but heard that farther northeast(Westbend) was gonna get 2-4" last night.
Really want to thank everyone who helped me with this, you guys are great. I still like my Sportsman 800, just wish Polaris would give a little more support and much better directions.

My dealer emailed me today Honda East of Toledo and said they would trade the mount systems out for an extra $70. I went online and there was a $25 or $30 difference. Wow, they must need the money? I emailed him back and asked why so much difference? I also asked if maybe I shouldn't trade the blade instead and get some money back. Any thoughts?

I'd charge them $50 for putting it together for them

Maybe you could sell it here to someone. Anyone want a new Glacier II plow system?

Seriously, I'd make them a counter offer and let them know that it was their fault in the first place. The retail difference would be the most I would pay.

Good Luck

I emailed him and asked him what was going on with the price and he said that there are three items required. I wonder if I have to remove the ATV mount that would be even worse yet. I would certainly rather change out the blade. He said he also had them on the way too. This is leaving a sour taste in my mouth.

I hate to tell you... The G1 and G2 have different mounting plates.

I'm sure you'll like the straight blade. One thing that I've heard really helps with deeper snow is a rubber flap on the top of the blade. I haven't done it yet, but I'm sure someone here has. I've heard someone recommend one that goes on an 8' blade for a truck that is just cut to length.

Has anyone made a mod like this to thier plow? What do you recommend?

Ya I put a peice of 6" wide rubber on top of my 2-way blade, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'm sure I will soon enough it's coming down pretty hard right now!!

I just picked my plow up yesterday, and looked up the parts and they gave me the wrong one. I wanted the Glacier II, they ordered me the Glacier I. The plow blade is the same, but the Frame and mount are different. Looks like Im bringing it back.

Yea, That is the problem, I now have to remove the ATV mount too. He said I couldn't bring just the blade back because he already ordered the parts. He has my credit card number off the last parts he ordered for me and just charged them to that. I said these dealer do not know enough about the machines to really be selling them and the parts. I will say that the way everything happened to me, in all fairness to the parts dept. that was not the case. I always wanted the V blade but did not know the Glacier II did not fit the V. I ended up with the razor blade and the Glacier II mount. When I realized I had the Razor, I took it back and got he V. Then tried to put them all together. I really don't know how the Razor came to be ordered in the first place. Which plow did you get Weber67?
