Putting a belt back on?
#1
I could get the belt off with ease, but I can't get it back on. I tried starting the belt off on the clutch then roling it in gear to get it back on like stated in the "how do i change a belt?" post, but I cant get it. Can anyone give me some knowledgable tips on the simplest way to get it on. This is my first time changing so if I sound dumb, just laugh.

OffRder15,
Tha task can seem difficult but it is actually quite straight forward.
1 - put the belt on the front clutch
2 - start the belt over the top of the back clutch
3 - grab the back plate of the back clutch and spin it clockwise (I think) while pushing it away from you. It is spring loaded so hang on! The two halves of the clutch will open up and allow the belt to easily slip into place
4 - clean the cover seal and reinstall the cover
5 - reinstall plastic
6 - ride, ride, ride!!!
Hope this helps,
DJ
