i've never seen a wincvh w/out a solnoide of some kind. im saying you should have one. the 2 wires coming off the winch is for the forward and reverse of the spooling which should run back to your switch that should have 4 spots for wires. 2 for the winch and 2 for the power and ground.

Stendori,
Speaking of winches, I am yet to install mine. I understand all the wiring is there and I can just connect the connectors
and run the switch up thru POD up to the handlebars? No wiring to the the battery or anywhere else? How long did it take
ya to install on yours? Did you have to remove the cargo box or was it enough room in the front cut out?

ive done so many of them it gets easier each time so around 1 hr if i did nt fool around which is never lol. no the storage box doesnt come off just the front piece(head light assembly). make sure you unhook your head lights before so you can take the front right out of the way.

you have to run thr 2 winch wires from the winch back to the contacter. but its fairly easy, just make sure you dont pinch the wires on the mounting plate or run them where they can rub and arck off if they rub thru.
