Another scrambler ?

Default Another scrambler ?

If i put exhaust and a KN filter do i have to put a jet kit on also to balance out the fuel for the added air flow. i have a 05' scrambler 500 awd. again thanks for your help....

Default Another scrambler ?

Yes. Many exhaust manufacturers will sell you a main/pilot combo with a new exhaust for $10.00 or so, and individual jets are usually 5. You usually don't need a whole jet kit, just start with the makers recommendations and go from there.

Default Another scrambler ?

On the 500s they are jetted rich from the factory!You shouldnt need to rejet but do a plug check to make sure.

That sounds good, it may sound stupid but im new to the 4wheeler thing and dont really know my way around the bike yet. But what am i looking for when i check the plugs( the spark plugs i assume). Thanks for all the help......

after a wide open run of a 1/2 mile or so pull the plug and make sure the electrode is tan to brown not gray to white.
Also a lean motor will cutout at full throttle like it is starving for fuel and a rich one will blubber
