How hi can I go be4 I have to replace axles

I got a 2002 Polaris sportsman 500 ho. I want to put a lift kit on it. How hi can I go be4 I have to replace the axles on it and what about wheel spacers will they make it ride any different?

i am 3.5inches on stock axels..i have only broken 1 cv joint,rt front.. most people go 2"...

same kit i have,but i am also running HIGHLIFTER lift spring in the front...the highlifter springs were the best mod i have done fotr the $$..
