I came across a website that has a Stanley/Raybrig
racing H4 60/55w bulb that puts out 130/125w but only draws 60/55w. These are about half of the price of PIAA and reportedly will last longer. There are two bulbs listed that will fit. The R-287 ($41) is clear and the R289 ($43) is "metal white".
This looks like a good upgrade that will give you more light on the trail and no heat increase.
I have no affiliation with this company.

Myself, no. My friend used PIAA's on his BMW bike, good lighting but they don't last long. I am going to get the clear bulb. At $40+ it is a lot cheaper than PIAA's at $90...

Hey guys~
would this headlight work in the "bug" lights that my scrambler has? The lights in my 96' must be yellow bulbs because the light they put out is horrible! how about if I took the front cover from a 400 sport and used that? Would the light work in that? Thanks for any replies!
