almost all heavy equipment run on diesel.it's not flamable as long as the wiring or hoses catch fire eveything would be fine

i didn't know the oil reserver was plastic...........i guess i will just crank the heet up in the garage, its going to be 12 below here tonight.............i will still use the magnet heater on the car.

Like you say, cold starts and running an engine while cold is what wears them out the fastest. Best to use the heater you talked about and let it idle for awhile.

w/ the fully 0-40 synth. oil in them the oil shouldnt be that gelled up anyways so it wouldnt be that bad to start in the cold. i run synth in both my vechicles to help easy starts in the cold mornings and its easier on the engine where it builds oil pressure faster because its thinner oil. just my opinion.

yah i'm runnin 10-40 synthetic and its been -20 here in Canada for 3 weeks, bought a magnet heater last night for 40 dollars and will let you know how it works

will a magnet stick onto the crankcases of the Sportsmans?? or is there to much aluminum??
