Default polaris scrambler 2002 500 2/4

I have a 2002 polaris scrambler 500 2/4 i got is used and it had a k and n air filter
i don't think it has a carb kit does it need one? does it need a different air box cover? I whant to get a clutch kit for it because i have oversiesed tires and i whant some more torque. when i first start it it runs fine besides that it gets loaded up when i first hit the gas or if i let it sit for over 3 seconds without hitting it it just sputer a lil then revs right up. after 10 to 15 minutes of riding the quad out of nowere stops the engine shakes and taps and then dies. 15 minutes later if fires back up. other times after 15 min it starts bogging a lil i look in the air box and see some oil coming out of the over flow in teh front of the air box and steam coming out. any ideas? idk who else to ask
Thanks for any help

get rid of the over size tires....did you clean the carb? you dont need to do any airbox mods with a k n filter..you say shakes and taps might need the valves adjusted

ok would a carb problem make the quad stall out 5 times after 15 minuts of riding but run fine 15 minutes later? the plug it black and it blows black smoke out the egsaust when i rev it and it backfires.
