My winch quit working, is there a fuse box for this or should I be looking somewhere else. When I put power to the winch directly it works. Solenoid? Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know there is not a fuse for the winch. I would check the wires at the winch contactor to make sure the rocker switch was working right. There should be two wires at the contactor that hook by means of butt connectors. The wires in the butt connectors should go hot when you work the rocker switch. You will need a test light to check with. If the wires are hot when you mash the rocker switch then you have a bad contactor.

 

Thanks for the info. , I tried to test the system and I believe the motor is shot. I tried jumping the motor with a hot wire to test the winch and it didn't do anything. I was wondering if the quad has fuses at all on it? Bought it used with no info. on it.
