Would be nice to have a 6 gallon tank like the cats. That 4 gallon tank on our po-pos really hampers our riding with our buds who drive other brands. I still can't complain of the milage I got with stock tires on all of my polaris machines. Now with aftermarket tires, that a whole different question.

i'm only getting about 45 miles on a tank of gas,i have a 500 efi 2008, with about 200 miles,i live in wv. i know i use a little while it's warming up,but that don't seem like it's all that good,i had a 2000 500 and got between 70 and 90 miles, winter less summer more,i was wondering what you all were getting..........</end quote></div>

i guess i'm really disapointed in the efi system as a whole, because they boast about improved gas mileage, and better throtle response, and the only benefit i see is if you went from 2,000' to 8,000' in altitude, your machine would still run ok, in my oppinion,it's just something else to go wrong, that would be expensive to replace, i think the carbs done alot better...............

My 06 500EFi gets between 45-55 miles per tank but that is always riding in low ( below 10-12mph) on logging roads going to deer stand , no mud just rough, milage &%$#& but man what a ride!!!!

Hey wayout, I figure the 500HO in the ATP gets about 18-20 mpg at about 20mph or so. It gets about 15-16 with a lot of low range stuff thrown into the mix. My X2 with the 500 EFI gets about 20-22 at about 20 mph, and about 17 or so with rough, low range riding thrown into the mix.

I have a '08 500 X2 but have used it mostly for plowing snow so I can't get a good reading on my fuel efficiency.

WAYOUT,
My X2 has a 6 gal fuel tank. Your '00 SP500 had a 5 gal tank and your new one only has a dissapointing 4 gal. Not a good job on Polaris's part imo.
