Farmr123,
yes that was me having all the problems with the chain adjustments. The dealership replaced the chain, both sprockets, and the concentric drive unit.Since then,I've only adjusted the chain once in about 3 hundred miles.Polaris payed for everything,
Bill

I know of nothing else in it's class ($5000 out the door cost, under 600# weight) that would have comparable power. The Grizz does, but it is a 600cc machine. The HO also comes close, but it weighs 100 pounds more. I don't know what a Grizz costs, but the HO is at at least a grand more.
For work it is a decent machine. It won't out-tow a HO by any means because it doesn't have the weight. For trail riding it is great, the ride it decent (not up to the Sportsman, though) and it really moves (mine will do about 60). In a drag race, I walk away from a 500 Magnum and non HO Sportsman. Never raced an HO yet.
The only downsides are chain drive and 2 cycle. These are only downsides to some people. The 2 cycle has more power, and is simpler than a 4 cycle, but has much less tolerance for dirty air. Keeping the air cleaner clean is a must. Do that & lube the chain & it should give you no troubles. I have over 3500 miles on mine. Maybe 100 of hard work, 1500 of work (hauling 2 people, towing small/med loads, checking cows thru mud in 4x4, that kind of stuff) 800 to 1000 going down dirt roads, and the balance trail riding. I do keep it clean and grease it often.
Hope this helps.
