Default Oil mixing question.....

I have a 1995 Scrambler 400 2 stroke.... I have never had a 2 stoke before... Do I need to mix the oil myself or does this have a oil pump ? I never have even looked at it enough to see ... I just bought it and it is time to put some gas in it ....

Thanks

I also have a 95. I have the tank (in the hood), but it was disconnected prior to my ownership. You might want to ask the previous owner how it's set up. Currently I'm mixing 40:1, but a lot of people like to run them at 32:1 if you premix.

Default Oil mixing question.....

There is no tank under the "hood" or plastic center nose piece. They have a round thick sticker carbon graphite looking thing over the round hole. The only tank I see is on the side and I believe that is the over flow for the radiator...

I have a few more quick questions ... What is the normal and max coolant/engine temps I should run it at? I bought a Trail Tech computer and it shows the temp. Right now being around 20 degrees outside it will idle at around 155 F and run at about 140F Is this ok?

Also what is the easiest way to measure for pre-mixing?

Thanks

On the oil you need a RatioRite mixing cup and you need to run 40:1 mix
