Winch
#11
ok fellas, put my winch on yesterday and everything went great....errrr well kinda.
The torx screws on master cylnder are so freakin tight (and I had the wrong size torx) that I jacked up on of them so I'm headin to the parts place today to see if I can remedy that....
Now back to the cut out thing I was having issues with. Right now I left it off so the winch is open and you can see it all.
hobbles - I have the same brush guard as you so can you pop that insert out on the trail or do you have to take your guard off first??
I like the looks of it now but would like to cover as much as I can ya know.....
thanks guys!

I also recently purchased Warn RT30 prewired for the Polaris Sportsman which should arrive next week.
Brutus, if your offer is open for making a template of your cutout panel that you could send electronically, I am interested, or if you could post some measurements that would be great as well. Also, how did you get the Polaris logo to be camoflauge? It really looks good.
TarHeel1, how long did it take to install?
Thanks in advance...

smiddy - It took about 30 minutes except for mounting the switch. The bolts holding the brake level/master were so tight I rounded out the torx (T30 if you have the Haynes) so I tried a back-out bit. It made it into a bowl so I had to get a drill bit and once it popped the head of the bolt off it all came off. Kinda sucked but worked and looks great.
Another thing for me was to slip the boot over the contactor BEFORE you wire it up. I didn't so I had to take it back off and do that.
I like the looks without the panel being cut but I think I want the extra protection. Brutus if you can messure for us and post it it would much appreciated!!
