Default outlaw valve adjustment

my roommates outlaw is only a year and a half old and it is having trouble starting. it turns and turns but wont fire. if we pull it, it starts pretty good. if we boost it and crank it over for a long time it will eventually go. i'm thinking it could be his valves maybe? anyone have any ideas? and where do you check the valves on the 500 and whats the spec? thanks

Yes the 500 Outlaw has the dual overhead cams with the bucket and shim. The Outlaw 525 has the screw and tappet design. I would give you a link to a detailed step by step instructions on how to do the valve adjustments but the mods would just edit the link out.
