Sheepdog. I have the same wrench, from a old Honda also. but I have no access to the back of the tank on my X2 like you are showing. I think the only solution is to remove the tank.

Yes, it is a X2</end quote></div>

Clean the screen with the 1st oil change to get any break in material off it and then maybe every yr after. You don't need to clean it after every oil change. Well unless you swamp in in mud! The oil filter will remove any small particles.

man ,just because you dont want to spend the extra 1/2 hr to remove the tank and clean the screen sure hope not to see you kicking your tire on the trail cause of a lack of oil flow... its easy to do ,i do it every time the 400 and 500 have the same tank its not that bad ..to each is there own

For the X2 does the oil tank have to come off? Yep looks like it does. Now how? There is no way to get to the screen from what I can see without removing the oil tank. HEEEEELLLLLPPPPP

on my 400 all you do is take out the 2- 10mm screws and disconnect the hoses..never takes more that a 1/2hr to do and when i have the tank off i always flush it with kerosene or gas than let it drip dry..just good to do!! in my eyes undisputeable

i found getting the hoses off was the hardest part of the whole job, what a pain in the azz they were - maybe because it was the first time. hope they come off easier next time!
