not as much get up & go!
Hi out there!
Just pulled the quad in for a complete over haul. (after i overhauled the Garage)
Earlier in the year I had been experiencing weird shifting in high range. Like feeling like it is in Low range but it is in high. It would not shift until I let off the throttle and then punched it again. Could this be belt wear or a clutch problem?
Oh yeah it is a 2005 Sportsman 400 4x4. Also was reparing the high bean wiring (dont ask me how it broke) and discovered a plug with 3 wires on it, not sure what its for, does anyone know? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i have the 04.5 400 ..when ever my shifting starts slowing down and it is noticeable i know my ramps(buttons) in my secondary clutch are smoked..i have almost 2200 miles and i have to replace them almost every 500 miles or so..the problem with the 400 is its so easy to smoke the belt/buttons 'cause the are so under powered .. rather than loose traction the belt or the buttons burn.
